I am a PhD candidate in political science at the Centre for European Studies and Comparative Politics at Sciences Po (Paris, France), and a postdoctoral Research Associate at the Centre for Sustainability at the Hertie School (Berlin, Germany).
I am generally interested in understanding why people think the way they do about environmental issues and climate policies.
In my PhD, I study climate policy support and opposition to the green transition, focusing especially on rural and peripheral areas across Europe. I try to understand where discontent is located, how local context shape people's perceptions of the green transition, and how climate policy support can be enhanced. I also work on other projects related to the politics of climate change, especially the green backlash, political polarization around climate and drivers of "green" electoral behaviours.
To do so, I employ both quantitative and qualitative methods, leveraging their respective strengths: quantitative analyses of survey data, survey experiments and contextual data, and qualitative evidence from fieldwork.
As a scholar researching such pressing issues, I also dedicate significant time to public engagement, with frequent interviews in French and European media, policy work with think tanks, stakeholders engagement with NGOs, engagement with policymakers and elected politicians, and keynotes at various non-academic events.
I also held visiting positions at Oxford University and Nuffield College, the LSE (London School of Economics and Political Science), and the University of Cambridge's Centre for Environment, Energy and Natural Resources Governance (CEENRG). Before that, I graduated from Sciences Po in Politics and European Affairs and the University of Cambridge in Environmental Policy.
